PAID ENGAGEMENT

Find out what your communications are costing you.

Job postings, onboarding materials and policies can be technically clear and still leave people unsure what they mean or what to do next. Over six weeks we assess your important communications, show you where they create friction, improve the ones that matter most, and help you measure what changes.

  • 6 weeks
  • Up to 20 communications
  • Fixed $5,000
THE OPPORTUNITY

You usually do not know who needs communication to work differently.

Workplaces are more cognitively diverse than organizations can see. Employees and candidates process information differently because of differences in attention, working memory, language, executive function, learning style and other factors. Many of those differences are invisible, undisclosed or undiagnosed.

So organizations cannot rely on knowing who needs communication to be different. The practical approach is to make important communication easier for more people to understand and act on from the outset.

Rather than a broad accessibility review, this sprint starts in one focused area where communication has real impact, such as recruiting and candidate communications. We identify specific barriers, improve high value communications, put the changes into practice, and measure what happens.

OBJECTIVES

What the six weeks are for

  • Identify communication patterns that create unnecessary barriers or cognitive effort.

  • Improve a selected set of high impact communications.

  • Make those communications easier to understand and act upon across a cognitively diverse audience.

  • Build practical communication accessibility knowledge inside your organization.

  • Establish baseline and post improvement measures to determine whether the changes produce meaningful results.

  • Identify opportunities to apply the approach more broadly.

The goal is not simply to produce better written documents. It is to find out whether more accessible communication improves outcomes for the people receiving it and for the organization sending it.

THE SPRINT

Discover, Analyze, Improve, Apply, Measure

  1. 1

    Week 1

    Discover and Measure

We meet your stakeholders to understand the current process, identify communication pain points, and agree on success measures. Together we select the communications for review. Where possible we establish baselines to evaluate improvements against.

  2. 2

    Week 2

    Analyze

We analyze up to 20 documents, web pages or templates using LINA Lens, our communication accessibility analysis platform, combined with human review. We look for recurring patterns affecting two things: whether people can accurately understand what the communication means, and whether they can confidently determine what to do next. Rather than producing dozens of observations, we prioritize the issues most likely to matter.

  3. 3

    Week 3

    Improve

We work with your team to improve the highest impact communications. For each one we show what it says now, what creates friction, the recommended improvement, and why it matters. The objective is not to simplify everything. It is to remove unnecessary barriers while preserving your meaning, voice and intent.

  4. 4

    Week 4

    Build Capability

We run a practical workshop with the relevant team, using examples from your own communications. We show the patterns found during the sprint and how your people can recognize and address them. The objective is to leave you with capability, not just a report.

  5. 5

    Week 5

    Apply

Where practical, the improved communications are used in real situations. We watch the indicators available to you, such as questions asked, responses, completion, candidate behaviour or staff observations. This moves the conversation past whether a communication looks better, to whether it worked better.

  6. 6

    Week 6

    Measure and Recommend

We review the results and provide a concise final report: what we found, what we changed, what happened, and what we recommend next. The final session identifies which improvements should become standard practice, and whether there is enough value to extend the work to other areas.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

At the end of the six weeks

  • Communication accessibility assessment of up to 20 documents, web pages or templates

  • Identification of recurring communication barriers and patterns

  • Prioritized recommendations

  • Improved versions of selected high impact communications

  • Before and after examples

  • Practical team workshop

  • Communication accessibility guidance for future communications

  • Final findings and recommendations report

  • Recommended next steps

MEASUREMENT

We agree the measures before we start

At the beginning of the engagement we agree on a small number of measures appropriate to the communications being studied.

Recipient outcomes

Response and completion rates. Correct completion. Clarification requests. Candidate drop off. Time to respond or act.

Organizational outcomes

Staff time spent answering questions. Rework and corrections. Recruiting efficiency. Candidate experience. Consistency of communication.

Communication measures

The Understanding and Execution characteristics LINA Lens observes in your communications, and the accessibility barriers identified and addressed during the sprint.

Not every organization has clean historical data. Where quantitative measurement is not possible, we agree upfront on the strongest evidence that can realistically be collected.

LINA Lens describes the characteristics it observes in a communication. It does not predict how any individual reader will respond.

INVESTMENT

Fixed $5,000

The six week Communication Accessibility Improvement Sprint is a fixed investment of $5,000. It includes the discovery, analysis, improvement work, workshop, measurement and final recommendations described above.

There is no requirement to purchase LINA software after the engagement.

If the sprint shows enough value, we can then look at expanding the work, training more teams, or enabling ongoing communication accessibility analysis through LINA Lens.

WHY UNIQUELYND

Important communication does not work equally well for every mind.

Canadian Association for Supported Employment member badgeMember, Canadian Association for Supported Employment

UniquelyND was founded around that problem. We combine lived experience, research into how people understand and act on information, and technology built specifically to analyze communication accessibility.

LINA Lens is the tool we use. It is not the outcome we are selling. The outcome is communication that works better for the people receiving it.
